Johannes Lenz (politician)

Johannes Lenz (born April 24, 1805 in Mornshausen a. D. , † October 19, 1869 in Erdhausen ) was a Hessian farmer and politician ( progress ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johannes Lenz was the son of the farmer Johannes Lenz and his wife Elisabeth, née Happel. Lenz, who belonged to the Protestant denomination, was a farmer and mayor in Erdhausen and married Elisabeth, nee Schneider, on December 13, 1829.

From 1862 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Oberhessen 2 / Gladenbach . He was the last MP from that constituency. In 1866 the area was ceded to Prussia .
