Johannes Leun

Johannes Leun (born February 16, 1855 in Grossen-Linden ; † August 8, 1940 in Gießen ) was a Hessian businessman and politician ( HBB ) and a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johannes Leun was the son of the farmer Johan Heinrich Leun and his wife Maria, nee Wenzel. Leun, who was a Protestant, was a merchant in Großen-Linden and married Christina née Kirr.

From 1899 to 1918 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Oberhessen 5 / Gießen-Land . In 1883 he became mayor of Großen-Linden.
