John Ha Tiong Hock (born March 5, 1947 in Kuching , Malaysia ) is a Malaysian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Kuching .

Life

John Ha Tiong Hock was ordained a priest on December 14, 1972 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Kuching and titular bishop of Canapium on January 17, 1998 . The Archbishop of Kuching, Peter Chung Hoan Ting , donated him episcopal ordination on June 6 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Anthony Soter Fernandez , Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur , and Gregory Yong Sooi Ngean , Archbishop of Singapore .

He was named Archbishop of Kuching on June 21, 2003 and was introduced to the office on July 16 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on March 4, 2017.
