Juan Humberto Gutiérrez Valencia (born June 27, 1941 in Guadalajara , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara .

Life

Juan Humberto Gutierrez Valencia received on 3 December 1967, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 14, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Iunca in Byzacena and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara. The Archbishop of Guadalajara, Juan Cardinal Sandoval Íñiguez , donated him episcopal ordination on April 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , the Bishop of Texcoco , Carlos Aguiar Retes , and the Archbishop of Antequera , José Luis Chávez Botello , and the Auxiliary Bishop in Guadalajara, Miguel Romano Gómez .

On February 2, 2018, Pope Francis accepted the resignation submitted by Juan Humberto Gutiérrez Valencia for reasons of age.
