Johnny Test is a 2005 American animated series created by Scott Fellows .
The animated series is about a boy named Johnny Test who lives in the fictional town of Porkbelly and tries out the inventions of his older twin sisters Susan and Mary Test.
Production and publication
Johnny Test was produced by Warner Bros. , and several other companies such as Atomic Cartoons, United Paramount Network , The WB , The CW , Cookie Jar Entertainment and Teletoon also participated in the production. The series was initially drawn by hand. Since the production was switched to the HDTV format , the series has been animated with Adobe Flash .
Michael-Andreas Kuttner, one of the animators on this series, has confirmed that a fourth season is in production. On June 11, 2013, the extension by a seventh season was announced, which should consist of 13 episodes and a three-part special.
Characters
main characters
- Johnny Test is an 11 year old boy. His trademarks are his blonde flame shaped hairstyle and his shirt with the radioactive symbol, he is hyperactive and also tends to be stubborn when he gets his way. His alter ego is called Johnny X, a superhero with superpowers like hurricane hands, shape shifter and pups power.
- Dukey is a talking dog and is Johnny's best friend and pet. Due to genetic engineering by Johnny's sisters Susan and Mary, Dukey behaves like a human and is much more level-headed than Johnny.
The test sisters
- Susan Test is Mary's 13-year-old sister and the younger of the two. Her trademarks are her black skirt, her shirt with a star, her lab coat, her star in her hair, and her square glasses. You and Mary are identical twins .
- Mary Test is Susan's 13-year-old sister and the older of the two. Her trademarks are her yellow t-shirt with a moon, her blue pants, her lab coat , her moon emblem in her hair, her red curly hair and her semicircular glasses. Just like Susan, Mary is in love with the neighbor boy Gil Nexdor.
Supporting characters
- Howard "Hugh" Test is the obsessive-compulsive father of Susan, Mary and Johnny, he is married to Lilli Test. His name is a parody of Howard Hughes .
- Lilli Test is the mother of Susan, Mary and Johnny Test, a businesswoman by profession .
- Eugene "Bling-Bling Boy" Hamilton is the fat, rich archenemy of Johnny, Susan, Mary Test and Dukey. He is in love with Susan Test and tries by all means to impress her, which is doomed. Furthermore, he hates being called Eugene.
- Gil Nexdor (in German Gil from next door ) is the neighbor boy from the tests. Susan and Mary Test are in love with him, but he ignores them and pays attention to Johnny.
- Mr. White and Mr. Black are two secret agents who are also friends of Susan, Mary, Johnny and Dukey. They are similar to Agent K and Agent J from the Men in Black films.
- Mitchell "Bumper" Randalls is a bat who often targets Johnny, but he also has a sensitive side and has two cats as pets, Cudles and Tomcat.
- Sissy Bladley is Johnny's enemy and she is partly in love with Johnny. She often annoys Johnny and she has a pet: a dog named Missy.
- Janet Nelson, Jr. was Johnny's lover. She often appeared in seasons 1 and 2, she is smart and developed a so-called "love-hate relationship" with Johnny. She made a cameo in season 3 .
- Missy is a pink, furry dog and Sissy's pet. Dukey is in love with her and she can eat wood and barbed wire.
- General is both the chief of agents Mr. Black and Mr. White and the chief of the Porkbelly army, he is also very forgetful.
- Mr. Henry TeacherMan is Johnny's teacher. He's tough and believes that Johnny is a good student.
- Professor Slopsink is both an Institute of Technology (MIT) professor and Susan and Mary's teachers. Since an experiment by Bling-Bling Boy ate his hand, he has been wearing a robot hand and he speaks in a German accent.
- Blast Ketchup is the main character of the Tiny'Mon show, he pursues the vision of the Tiny'Mon master and he is a parody of Ash Ketchum from Pokémon .
- Hank Anchorman is the host of the Porkbelly News. In season 1, he had blonde hair, was thinner and younger. But since season 2 he was aging.
- The mayor of Porkbelly lives with his mother and when the first signs of trouble appear, he panics.
- Lunch Lady is the woman serving food at Johnny's school. When students don't like her food, she reacts cholerically and speaks in a German accent. Your skin color is green.
- Lolo is Susan and Mary's monkey. It is often used for Mary and Susan experiments.
- Smash Badger is Johnny's favorite video game character. He's a parody of Crash Bandicoot and a destructive badger, and his clothes are similar to Super Mario's.
- Monteque is one of Susan and Mary's guinea pigs . He is a gray mouse who came into contact with a machine and thus, just like Dukey, learned to speak and walk. In addition to Johnny and Lolo, he is often needed for tests.
- Mega Roboticle is Johnny's red robot action figure. He is a member of the Turbo Toy Army.
- Nasteria is Johnny's dark blue robotic action figure. He is Mega-Roboticles archenemy.
- The Turbo Toy Army is a group of toys: e.g. B. male and female dolls, toy rabbits and toy kites.
- Dark Vegan is an enemy of Johnny, Susan, Mary and Dukey. He is the ruler of a vegetable planet and he has a rebellious daughter. He's a parody of Darth Vader .
- Zizrar is a Mole King and Johnny's enemy. He can't stand light.
- SchlagZu is the evil toy manufacturer. He can't stand children because they often bother him. He builds toys that children lock up. He also has a brother named Der Abkitzler .
- Speed McCool is a famous actor. He can often be seen in the films with the monkeys. Johnny is his favorite fan.
synchronization
The first season was set to music by the Berlin studio Elektrofilm , later by EuroSync . The change of studio also resulted in a change of speakers, so Tanja Schmitz took over the role of Susan. Mario von Jascheroff directed the dialogue throughout .
