Jon Pult (born October 12, 1984 in Scuol ; resident in Sent ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Jon Pult is the son of an art historian and translator and a teacher. He grew up in Guarda , Milan , Domat / Ems and Chur in three languages ​​- Romansh, Italian, German - and attended primary school and the Bündner Kantonsschule in Chur. He then studied general history, economic and social history and philosophy at the University of Zurich . In addition to his studies, he worked as a teacher, and today he works for a marketing and communications company.

Pult is President of the SP Graubünden and the Alpine Initiative Association . From 2010 to 2018 he was a member of the Grand Council of Graubünden .

In 2015, Pult ran for the SP Graubünden as one of five candidates for the National Council . He had already stood as a candidate in the National Council elections in 2011 and there came second on the SP list - behind Silva Semadeni , who was elected.

In 2019, Pult is running for the National Council elections on October 20, as the top candidate of the SP Graubünden; he is also running for the Council of States.

family

Pult's uncle is Chasper Pult , born in 1949 , a linguist and Romance scholar who was the director of the Centro Culturale Svizzero in Milan and for some time presided over the Lia Rumantscha . His grandfather Jon Pult was also a Romanist, like his great-grandfather Chasper.
