Jonas Behounek (born May 17, 1998 in Kaltenkirchen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with Rot-Weiss Essen .

Starts at Hamburger SV

Behounek started playing football in his hometown of Kaltenkirchen at the age of four at Kaltenkirchener TS, where he played until 2011. After one season at Eintracht Norderstedt Behounek joined the 2012/13 season in the youth academy of Hamburger SV and came first for the C Youth (U-15) are used. At HSV, he was retrained from playmaker to right-back . Behounek did some of the summer preparation for the 2016/17 season with Bruno Labbadia's professional team . After he was then used again in the A-Youth in the A-Junior Bundesliga , he received his first professional contract at the end of November 2016 with a term until June 30, 2019. After he had also completed the entire winter preparation with the professionals who had meanwhile been trained by Markus Gisdol , he then came to 13 appearances in the second team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord , in which he scored 2 goals.

For the 2017/18 season, Behounek became a permanent member of the professional squad. He was not used in the first team under Markus Gisdol , Bernd Hollerbach and Christian Titz . Instead, Behounek played 17 times in the second team, with whom he was runner-up in the Regionalliga Nord after winning the autumn championship . In total, he came to 17 regional league appearances in which he scored 2 hits.

In the 2018/19 season, Behounek was exclusively in the squad of the second team. He came to 25 appearances in the Regionalliga Nord, in which he scored 4 goals. He then left the club when his contract ended.

Change to the 3rd division

Even before the end of the 2018/19 season, Behounek completed a trial training at the second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue , but could not recommend himself for a commitment. Behounek finally moved to the 3rd division for SG Sonnenhof Großaspach for the 2019/20 season , where he received a contract that ran until June 30, 2021. After the club was relegated from the third division, he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen .

National team

Behounek played twice for the German U15 team of the DFB in May 2013 and six times for the U16 team from September to November 2013 .
