Jonathan Fabbro (born January 16, 1982 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine - Paraguayan football player who is under contract with the Mexican Primera División de México participant Chiapas FC . He can be used in attacking midfield . He has already played in seven countries.
Club career
Fabbro moved from the youth of Argentinos Juniors to Europe , Spain , to the youth of RCD Mallorca in 2001 . He successfully went through the youth department and made five league players for the island club. Then he went back to South America to one of the most famous clubs in Argentina, the Boca Juniors . There he was able to score a goal in six games and then went to Colombia to Once Caldas . There he became a top performer and scored five goals in 39 games. After Europe, the move to the Dorados de Sinaloa from Mexico meant the next continent where he played. For the Mexicans he scored seven goals in 35 games. The strong performances of Fabbro in the last few seasons aroused the desires of Brazilian clubs and so he moved to Atlético Mineiro in January 2006 . After only four weak games without scoring, he went to CD Universidad Católica in Chile after only half a year . He only played there for half a year, but with six goals in 20 games was significantly more successful than in his time in Brazil. In January 2007 he went to Paraguay to the Guaraní Club , where he stayed for four years. During this season he made 101 league games and scored 35 times. He then stayed in Paraguay, but went to Club Cerro Porteño . There he made it to the national team of Paraguay for the first time. For his new club, Fabbro scored 40 times in 133 league games. From July 2013 to June 2014 he played on loan for CA River Plate . For the Argentinians he was used in four games of the Copa Sudamericana 2012 . The following season he played three games in the Copa Sudamericana 2013 , four in the Torneo Final and seven in the Torneo Inicial , but remained goalless. He then returned to Cerro Porteño. There they were eliminated in the qualifying round of the Copa Libertadores 2014 against Deportivo Táchira FC . In the two games, however, Fabbro was able to score two goals and provide an assist . In the 2015 Copa Libertadores it was only in the round of 16 against Boca Juniors. On July 14, 2016, Fabbro moved to Mexico for Chiapas FC .
In addition to hits in various leagues, he appeared as a goal scorer seven times in 24 games of the Copa Libertadores . In the Copa Sudamericana , he scored six goals in 17 games. Fabbro stands out for his dangerous free kicks and was a 2012 candidate for Paraguayan Footballer of the Year .
National team career
Born in Argentina, he decided to play for the Paraguayan national soccer team . Since 2012 he has belonged to the inner circle of the national team. In the Copa America 2011 in Argentina , he was not a candidate. In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, he scored twice in seven games. However, the team could not qualify for the competition. His last international goal was on August 16, 2012 against the national team from Guatemala in a friendly. On August 14, 2013, in the Fritz Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern , he played against the German national soccer team . He was in the starting line-up and was substituted in the 62nd minute. His last international match so far was on October 8, 2015 in a 0-1 away win against Venezuela .
Private
Fabbro's older brother Darío also played football until 2007 but in the position of the striker . Since 2013 he has been in a relationship with the model Larissa Riquelme .
