Jonathan Jaffe (born March 3, 1987 in Massachusetts ) is a professional American poker player .

Poker career

Jaffe plays online under the nickname Iftarii . In 2009 and 2013 he won a title each at the World Championship of Online Poker played on PokerStars . Jaffe has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2005.

In early August 2006 Jaffe was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. In mid-June 2008 he finished fourth at the Heads-Up Championship of the WSOP 2008, which was worth more than 100,000 US dollars . In November 2008, Jaffe reached the final table at the Main Event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in Mashantucket and finished second after losing heads-up to Jonathan Little for around $ 670,000. At the 2013 WSOP , Jaffe reached the sixth day of the tournament in the main event and was eliminated there in 42nd place, which was paid for over $ 185,000. In mid-October 2014 he won the Foxwoods World Poker Finals in Mashantucket and received a prize of almost $ 140,000. A month later he won the WPT Main Event in Kahnawake and secured prize money equivalent to around $ 410,000. In mid-June 2015 , Jaffe sat at his first WSOP final table and finished fourth in 8-Handed No Limit Hold'em for just under $ 160,000. At the end of April 2016, he finished fourth at the WPT Tournament of Champions at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood , Florida , which was worth almost $ 100,000. A year later he finished eighth in the same place at the Seminole Hard Rock Finals for around $ 90,000. In January 2018, Jaffe took second place in the high roller of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures in the Bahamas , which was paid for just under $ 570,000. At the end of July 2018, he also finished second at the Florida State Poker Championships in Pompano Beach and secured more than $ 100,000 in prize money. In December 2019, Jaffe sat at the final table of the WPT Main Event at the Hotel Bellagio in Las Vegas and received more than $ 350,000 for his sixth place.

In total, Jaffe has earned almost four million dollars with poker in live tournaments. From April to November 2016 he played as part of the San Francisco Rush in the Global Poker League and made it to the playoffs with his team.
