Jonathan Milan (born October 1, 2000 in Tolmezzo ) is an Italian cyclist who races on track and road .

Athletic career

Jonathan Milan grew up in Buja , where his parents run a laundry and clothing company; his father Flavio was also a cyclist in the 1990s. At the age of four he began to explore the area around his hometown by mountain biking , later he also did swimming , karate and judo until he concentrated on cycling. Milan trained as a commercial artist . He is 1.94 meters tall and size 46, which is why an Italian cycling website called him il Gigante di Buja . His brother Matteo is also active as a cyclist.

In 2017, Milan started in the first UCI junior races . In 2018 he won a stage of the Giro del Nordest d'Italia . At the UEC European Rail Championships in 2019 , he was tenth in the single pursuit . At the UCI Track World Championships 2020 in Berlin, he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit together with Simone Consonni , Filippo Ganna , Francesco Lamon and Michele Scartezzini ; in the single pursuit, he finished fourth.
