Jonathan Rommelmann (* 18th December 1994 ) is a German lightweight - rowers .

At the German Championships in the lightweight One of the was 1883 Crefelder RC rowing and trained by Sabine Tschäge Rommelmann 2015 third behind Konstantin Steinhübel and Moritz moss . In 2018 he was runner-up behind Jason Osborne and in 2019 he won the title ahead of Max Röger .

Rommel's international career began in 2013 when he and the German lightweight quadruple sculls bronze at the U23 World Championships won. In the following year he finished seventh in the lightweight single and in 2015 he won the lightweight double scull with Philipp Grebner . In the adult class both competed at the 2015 World Championships together with Roman Acht and Daniel Lawitzke in the lightweight quadruple sculls and won silver behind the French boat. In 2016, Rommelmann competed again in a single at the U23 World Championships and won silver.

In 2018, Rommelmann won bronze in the lightweight single at the first rowing World Cup and competed with Konstantin Steinhübel in the lightweight double scull at the World Championships in Plovdiv. There he took 14th place. In 2019 Rommelmann forms the new lightweight double scull with Jason Osborne and won the European Championships in Lucerne in front of the Italian boat. At the World Championships in Linz, the Irish won ahead of the Italians, followed by Rommelmann and Osborne bronze.
