José Altevir da Silva

José Altevir da Silva CSSp (born November 30, 1962 in Ipixuna , Brazil ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Cametá .

Life

José Altevir da Silva entered the religious community of Spiritans and made perpetual profession on November 18, 1989 . He received on 6 December 1992, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On September 27, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Cametá. The auxiliary bishop in Brasília , Leonardo Ulrich Steiner OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on December 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Manaus , Sérgio Eduardo Castriani CSSp, and the Bishop of Bragança do Pará , Jesús María Cizaurre Berdonces OAR .
