Adolf "Joschi" Schneeberger (* 1957 in Vienna ) is an Austrian jazz musician ( double bass ).

Live and act

Schneeberger, who comes from a Sinti family, taught himself to play the bass as an autodidact . In 1982 he began his career in the Zipflo Weinrich ensemble , of which he was a member until 1990. Then belonged to the bands of Harri Stojka and Elly Wright and performed with the ensemble Gansch and Roses and the Jazz-Gitti . He also worked with musicians such as Erich Bachträgl , Benny Bailey , Gustavo Bergalli , Till Brönner , Klaus Dickbauer , Rolf Ericson , Bill Grah , Heinz von Hermann , Ingrid Jensen , Oscar Klein , Mundell Lowe , Fritz Pauer , Wolfgang Puschnig , Allan Praskin , Karl Ratzer , Hans Salomon , Hal Singer , Clark Terry or Häns'che Weiss .

In 1999 he founded his own trio. His son, guitarist Diknu Schneeberger, is part of his own sextet, which has been in existence since 2007 . He is also a member of the Diknu Schneeberger Trio.
