Joseph Rüttinger

Joseph Karl August Rüttinger (born October 19, 1796 in Mannheim ; † November 11, 1864 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; Catholic) was a lawyer and official in the Baden state service since 1822 , comparable to today's district administrator .

Life

After studying law at the University of Heidelberg until 1814 , Rüttinger became a legal candidate at the court court of the Middle Rhine District in Rastatt and then from November 10, 1814 a trainee at the Appenweier office . From July 1815 to February 1818 he worked as a volunteer at the Steinbach office and then at the Appenweier office and finally at the Pforzheim regional office. On May 3, 1822, Rüttinger became assessor at the Wiesloch office and then from January 27, 1825 at the Sinsheim district office . When he was promoted to magistrate on August 3, 1829 , he became the second civil servant at the Lahr office . In November 1832 Rüttinger was provisional administrator at the Offenburg Office and from May 1, 1834 second official at the Bruchsal Office . At the same time as he was promoted to senior bailiff on February 12, 1835, he was appointed head of the district office of Bretten , then from January 11, 1838 at the Walldürn district office and finally from June 25, 1840 at the Neckargemünd district office . On May 25, 1848, he was transferred to the government of the Upper Rhine District, probably a form of punitive transfer, and on March 14, 1851, he was sent into early retirement.
