Joseph David "Joe" Truman (born February 14, 1997 in Petersfield ) is a British track cyclist .

Athletic career

Joe Truman began competitive cycling at the age of 13. At 16 he was two-time British champion in his age group, in the sprint and in the 1000-meter time trial. In 2014 he competed in races as a "guest driver" at Rapha Condor .

In 2015 Truman had his first major international success when he won bronze in the team sprint at the Junior European Championships together with Jack Carlin and Alexander Joliffe . The following year he achieved several successes in the team sprint, in the U23 area and in the elite: He was U23 European champion with Jack Carlin and Ryan Owens . In the elite category, the trio became vice-European champions , and they won the team sprint in the first two races of the Track Cycling World Cup in Glasgow and Apeldoorn in 2016/17 .
