Juan Godayol Colom

Juan Godayol Colom SDB (born September 4, 1943 in Mataró ) is a prelate emeritus of Ayaviri .

Life

Juan Godayol Colom joined the Order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and was ordained a priest on August 13, 1972 . Pope John Paul II appointed him prelate of Ayaviri on December 4, 1991 .

The apostolic nuncio in Peru , Luigi Dossena , consecrated him bishop on January 4th of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Fernando Vargas Ruiz de Somocurcio S.J. , Archbishop of Arequipa , and José Ramón Gurruchaga Ezama SDB, Bishop of Huaraz .

Juan Godayol Colom resigned from his position on February 18, 2006. It was the Apostolic Nuncio Rino Passigato who had previously asked Bishop Godayol to offer his resignation “for health reasons”.
