The territorial prelate Ayaviri ( lat. : Territorialis Praelatura Ayaviriensis ) is an in Peru preferred Roman Catholic territorial prelate based in Ayaviri .

history

The territorial prelature Ayaviri was on July 30, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Ex illis diocesibus from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Puno and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Arequipa as a suffragan .

The Ayaviri Territorial Prelature gave up parts of its territory on April 3, 2019 to establish the Santiago Apóstol de Huancané Territorial Prelature .
