Judy Schwomeyer , married. Sladky is a former American figure skater who started out in ice dancing .

Her ice dance partner was James Sladky . With him she took part in world championships from 1967 to 1972 . In 1969 , 1971 and 1972 Schwomeyer and Sladky won the bronze medal and in 1970 in Ljubljana they became vice world champions behind Lyudmila Pachomowa and Alexander Gorshkov from the Soviet Union .

Together with their trainer Ronald Ludington , Schwomeyer and Sladky created the compulsory dance Yankee Polka .

After the end of their competitive career, Schwomeyer and Sladky switched to the professionals. Schwomeyer was also active as an actress. The ice dancing couple married, but divorced after 19 years.
