Julia Jung (born October 4, 1979 in Haiger ) is a former German swimmer who was trained by Ralf Hermann.

Julia Jung (1995)

At the 1994 World Championships, she won the silver medal in her first major appearance with the German 4 x 200 meter relay. In 1995 came the breakthrough on an international level with the European championship titles over 800 meters freestyle and 4 x 200 meters freestyle. Later, however, she could no longer achieve these achievements, so that Jung, who came from Dillenburg in Hesse , missed the qualification for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and ended her career a little later, also due to injuries. During her active time, Ralf Scheitenberger was her manager (he also looked after the tennis star Michael Stich at the time ).

After the end of her career, she began studying to become a teacher; today she works as a teacher in the Dillenburg area.
