Karin Neugebauer (born December 5, 1955 in Leipzig ) is a former German swimmer who competed for the GDR .
At the age of 14, she was able to win her first and only international title when she won the 800 meter freestyle at the European Swimming Championships in 1970 . Due to the death of her father, Hans Peter Neugebauer , she was later unable to confirm this achievement and therefore ended her career as a swimmer in 1972 at the age of 16. Today she works as a teacher.
