Julian le Play
Julian le Play , civic Julian Heidrich (* 27. June 1991 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Popschlager - singer , songwriter and radio host and son of the Viennese gallery owner Gerald Hartinger.
Life
Julian Heidrich was seen under his real name at an early age on ORF as a participant in the Kiddy Contest . A few years later he was one of the co-hosts of the children's show Close Up .
In 2010, Heidrich took part in the Austrian casting show Heroes of Tomorrow and finished in 7th place. He also took part in the preliminary decision for the song contest Guten Morgen Düsseldorf .
In the summer of 2011 he started working as Julian le Play with his producer team and label GRIDmusic on his first studio album “So far Sonar”. His first single, Mr. Spielberg, became one of the most played songs in 2012. In 2013 he won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the “Pop / Rock” category. His album “So far Sonar” was among the 5 nominees for “Album of the Year”. His production team GRIDmusic (including former members of the band Tyler in charge ) and Sunshine Mastering won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award “Best Engineered Album” for “So far Sonar”.
His “So Far Sonar” tour took him in April and May 2013 to Austrian live clubs such as the Vienna WUK , the Linzer Posthof , the Graz Orpheum or the Innsbrucker Weekender.
At the beginning of October 2013 he announced that he had started work on his second studio album. The album "Melodrom", which was also released in Germany, went on sale in 2014. In Austria, the album reached number 3 in the charts in the first week of evaluation. The first single "Mein Anker" reached number 6 on the Austrian sales charts. In July 2014 the album “Melodrom” was awarded the gold record in Austria. His "Melodrom" tour 2014 took him from April to May 2014 through 23 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In summer 2014 le Play also went on tour with James Blunt and Gunslinger . In November he sang in the finale of the fourth season of Die große Chance together with the eventual winners Harfonie his song We have still all life , which then became his seventh chart hit .
Heidrich took his stage name Le Play from the French social scientist Pierre Guilleaume Fréderic Le Play . He sings his songs in German and makes use of a nationwide German -style Idiolekts .
From April 2011 to February 2015 Julian Heidrich was also a moderator on Ö3 .
