Juliane Thevissen
Juliane Thevissen (* 1965 in Berlin ) is a German film producer .
Life
Juliane Thevissen grew up in Detmold . She studied political science at the Free University of Berlin and, alongside her studies, worked in the editorial department of the evening show at Sender Freies Berlin (now Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg).
Thevissen's cinematic work began in the production area in the early 1990s. Until 2002 she was a production and manufacturing manager with German and international television and cinema productions. From 2003 to 2009 she was managing partner and producer of RheinFilm GmbH, since 2010 she has been producer and managing director of thevissen filmproduktion GmbH.
The movie Tender Parasites was her greatest international success and was shown as a world premiere at the 66th Venice International Film Festival in the Orizzonte competition. The historical television film Sternstunde ihr Leben (2014) received the Elisabeth Selbert Prize from the Hessian state government and the Marl media prize for human rights from Amnesty International.
Juliane Thevissen has a son and lives in Cologne . In addition to her work as a producer, she is involved in promoting young talent and teaches creative production, among other things.
