Life

Eberhardt attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in St. Pölten and graduated from the HTL Schellinggasse in Vienna, then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . In 1960 he completed his professional training with the state examination for architecture as well as the master builder and civil engineer examination. In 1964 he took over the construction company founded by his father in 1928 with 90 employees, which he expanded over the decades. In 1993 he sold the company with 1,300 employees to Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien and became its chairman of the supervisory board. The company later merged with Neue Reformbau GesmbH and the core companies of the former Maculan Holding Uniprojekt and Hinteregger to form ERA-Bau AG, which in turn was taken over in 1998 by Bau Holding AG, today's Strabag .
