action
The 25-year-old illiterate Phoebe Panizzi lives very withdrawn and works through various temporary jobs where she makes sure that she does not need to read or write anything. She finds balance in fishing. Her greatest love is her rabbits, which she keeps on her roof garden. Her older neighbor Mrs. Peters, one of the few people she gets along with, leads a similar life. When Phoebe is out and about in town, 16-year-old Jul becomes aware of her. He chases her and Phoebe feels annoyed. But over time, she befriends him and learns from him that he grew up in a children's home because his father Daniel couldn't get on with him. At the moment Jul is living with him again on a trial basis and the social welfare office carries out regular checks on the Rosenbergs. Phoebe meets Daniel at a mutual meeting and falls in love with him. When Jul catches his father red-handed with her, his world falls apart for him.
