The Jumeirah Group (until 2005 Jumeirah International ) is an international hotel chain owned by the ruling family of Dubai , Al Maktum , under the responsibility of Hamdan bin Raschid al Maktum , the youngest son of the late Sheikh Raschid bin Said Al Maktum and brother of Sheikh Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum (current ruler of the Emirate of Dubai and Prime Minister , Minister of Defense and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates ). Jumeirah is also part of Dubai Holding .

The name of the group comes from the Jumeirah district of Dubai , where some of the group's plants are located.

Founded in 1997, the group specializing in luxury hotels rose within a few years to become one of the most famous and wealthiest hotel chains in the world, not least thanks to spectacular buildings such as the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Emirates Towers .

While the hotel chain only operated facilities in Dubai in the first few years, it has been aiming for international destinations for a number of years. In Europe, Jumeirah only operated two hotels in London , the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel and the Jumeirah Carlton Tower . In February 2011 the third project in London opened on Park Lane, the Grosvenor House Suites by Jumeirah Living . The group's first hotel in Germany was opened in Frankfurt am Main in August 2011 as part of the major Palais Quartier construction project . In 2012, the Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa on Mallorca , as well as the Pera Palace Hotel, Jumeirah in Istanbul, and the Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome were added, but the latter has no longer been operated by the Jumeirah Group since February 1, 2016.
