The Emirates Towers ( Arabic أبراج الإمارات, DMG Abrāǧ al-Imārāt 'Towers of the Emirates') are two related skyscrapers in Dubai , the Emirates Office Tower and the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel .
description
Both towers have a triangular floor plan, with only two sides of the triangle being solid; the third side consists mostly of a glass panel. This creates atriums that are flooded with light and extend over almost the entire height of the building. The glass elevators also run in the atria, the speed of which was reduced after the opening, as people who were traveling with them often had to vomit because of the high speed.
The Emirates Office Tower (also Emirates Towers One ) was the tallest building in Dubai at 354.6 meters and 54 floors, but has now been surpassed by several other buildings. It mainly houses offices. Even Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , ruler of Dubai, there has operating rooms.
Its twin tower, the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel (also Emirates Towers Hotel or Emirates Towers Two ) is 309.1 meters high and has 56 floors. Although it is the smaller of the two towers, it has two floors more due to the lower floor height.
The luxury shopping center The Boulevard is located in the base of the building .
The hotel is operated by the Jumeirah Group .
