List of tallest office buildings in the world
The following list of the tallest office buildings in the world includes office buildings over 350 meters high. According to the definition of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, office use is given when 85 percent or more of the total usable area is available for office space.
The tallest building used exclusively for office purposes since May 2013 has been the One World Trade Center in New York City with a height of 541 meters. It surpassed the 508-meter-tall Taipei 101 in Taiwan, which was the tallest building on earth from its completion in 2004 to 2010. While almost all skyscrapers used to be used for office purposes, today there are many mixed-use buildings (as well as residential buildings) being built.
Tabular listing of the tallest office buildings on earth
The heights given in the list are based on official heights (height of the building architecture) according to the criteria of the CTBUH. These include spiers that are architecturally related to the building, such as Taipei 101 or the One World Trade Center . Structures such as radio antennas and the like, such as the antenna on the Willis Tower , which is 442 meters high to the roof, but has a total height with antennas 527 meters, are not counted in the height comparison according to these criteria.
