The Almas Tower is a 363-meter skyscraper in the district of Jumeirah Lake Towers in Dubai ( UAE ). The name, Arabic برج الماس, DMG Burǧ al-Mās , uses the Arabic word for "diamond". The building houses the Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC).

description

The skyscraper, which protrudes above the many surrounding high-rise buildings, has 74 floors, the top 4 of which are service floors. Construction began in 2005 and by the end of 2007 had reached its final height of 363 meters to the top. After completion in 2009, it was the tallest completed building in Dubai for a short time until the Burj Khalifa opened in January 2010. It stands almost in the middle of the construction area of the Jumeirah Lake Towers , so that it acts as a landmark from all directions. What is striking about this single tower is that it seems to grow out of a "rose window" of eight pointed houses at the base.

In the lower area there is a public diamond display center with sales rooms on 1,500 square meters, other office floors are mostly reserved for diamond dealers. In the Almas Tower there is an office for the organization of the KPCS and the Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC).
