The Princess Tower is a skyscraper in Dubai ( United Arab Emirates ).

The building is 414 meters high and has 101 floors (six more underground). The tower was built by TAMEER . Construction began in 2005, completion was originally planned for 2009 and was later postponed to July 2012. The shell of the 101 floors was erected by March 2011, the crown was erected in January 2012 and the final height was reached. The shell of this roof structure is made of steel , while the rest of the structure consists of a reinforced concrete structure . In July 2012 the structure was opened as planned. Currently (as of 2019) the tower is the third tallest building in Dubai. Since the topping-out ceremony in January 2012, the Princess Tower was also the tallest residential building in the world, but its height was exceeded in 2014 with the construction of the 432 Park Avenue skyscraper in New York City.

The tower stands in the first row on Jumeirah Beach at the eastern end of the Dubai Marina with a view of the artificial island Palm Jumeirah and the Burj al Arab .

It houses between one and eleven residential units per floor, a total of 763 units; when fully occupied, around 3000 people can live here. Most apartments have one or more balconies. There is a pool, fitness center, sauna, daycare center, internal parking garage, retail and boutiques on the ground floor, and a game center on one of the top floors. The total usable area in the building is just over 171,000 square meters. 13 elevators operate in the core of the building and reach speeds of six meters per second.
