Al Yaqoub Tower ( Arabic برج اليعقوب, "Al-Yaqub Tower") is the name of a skyscraper in the city of Dubai . The ground-breaking ceremony for the building was in 2006. The final height of 330 meters was reached in May 2010, the completion was in 2012, after a previously planned completion in 2011 could not be realized. The slender tower, which has a tapered roof, is one of the tallest buildings in Dubai and, at a height of 330 meters, exceeds the famous Burj al Arab (321 meters) by nine meters. The usable area is around 53,000 square meters, which is spread over a total of 72 floors. While there are apartments in the upper area of ​​the tower, a hotel is located below.
