The Rose Rayhaan by Rotana (also known as Rose Tower ) is currently (2017) the second tallest hotel building in the world with a height of 333 meters and is located in Dubai , United Arab Emirates . It is only surpassed by the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai , also in Dubai, with its 355 meters by 22 meters. The tower stands directly on Sheikh Zayed Road and, including the top, has a height of 333 meters, which is a few meters higher than the Burj al Arab , the highest hotel building to date. The building, which was completed in April 2009, was officially opened on January 6, 2010 and houses the eponymous Hotel Rose Rayhaan by Rotana . The building has 72 floors and 482 hotel rooms. The project cost amounted to about 180 million US dollars .
