The 1994/95 season was also successful. Although he could not win a race because of Alberto Tomba's superiority, he reached second place in the final accounts of the Giant Slalom World Cup, third place in the Slalom World Cup and third place in the overall World Cup. The following years were less successful, but he had a second career highlight in the 1998/99 season . He won two slalom races, one of them in Kranjska Gora , the neighboring village of his birthplace Mojstrana. In the Slalom World Cup, he reached second place. After that, he could no longer build on his previous achievements. He resigned at the end of the 2005-06 season.
In addition to his three victories, Košir achieved a total of 20 placements among the top three in world cup races, 18 of them in slalom. From 1992 to 2005 he won 13 Slovenian championship titles : six in slalom, four in giant slalom and three in super-G. In 1994 he was voted Slovenia's Sportsman of the Year .
