Jutta Kaddatz

Jutta Kaddatz (born January 25, 1953 in Berlin ) is a former German politician ( CDU ). From 2011 to 2020 she was district councilor in Berlin's Tempelhof-Schöneberg district . Until 2016, she also held the office of Deputy District Mayor .

Professional career

Jutta Kaddatz grew up in Berlin- Neukölln and completed her teaching degree at the Pedagogical University in the Lankwitz district . From 1975 she worked as a teacher at the Nahariya elementary school in Berlin- Lichtenrade , where she also passed her second state examination.

In 1990 she moved to the then Ludwig-Heck-Grundschule in Berlin- Mariendorf as vice -principal and finally took over the school management of the Schätzelberg-Grundschule in 1997 in the same district .

In 2004, Kaddatz joined the Berlin Senate Administration for Education, Youth and Sport as a project manager and was appointed school councilor in 2007 .

From 2010 she acted as country reporter in the school committee of the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs on the subject of all-day .

Jutta Kaddatz joined the local association of the CDU Lichtenrade in 1989 and was a member of the Tempelhof District Assembly from 1995 . After the Berlin administrative reform in 2001, she moved into the district assembly of the new Tempelhof-Schöneberg district.

For the CDU parliamentary group she was a member of the school committee , the main committee and the committee for integration. In addition, she was chairman of the youth welfare committee and finally deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group . In 2007 she resigned from the district assembly.

Jutta Kaddatz was elected District Councilor for Education, Culture and Sport of Tempelhof-Schöneberg after the Berlin elections in 2011 . She also took over the office of deputy district mayor.

In the 2016 elections , she ran as the top candidate of the CDU in the district and ran for the office of district mayor , but was clearly defeated by the incumbent Angelika Schöttler ( SPD ).

After the CDU lost a city council position due to the election result, Kaddatz ran at the district party conference of the CDU Tempelhof-Schöneberg on November 11, 2016 against the incumbent city councilor Daniel Krüger and prevailed in a battle vote . On November 16, 2016, she was finally elected by the district councilor for education, culture and social affairs.

As a representative of Berlin, she was a member of the Committee for Social Affairs, Youth and Family of the German Association of Cities .

Within her party, as a district councilor, she was a member of the district board of the CDU Tempelhof-Schöneberg and on the board of the local association Lichtenrade.

Due to the legal position as an electoral officer , the district assembly on December 13, 2017, extended the term of office of Kaddatz, which would have reached its legal age limit in January 2018, to the end of the current electoral period, i.e. to 2021 at the latest.

For many years, Jutta Kaddatz was a party congress delegate at district and state level. In December 2018, she was also a delegate at the federal party conference of the CDU, which decided on Angela Merkel's successor as federal chairman and finally elected Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer as the new party leader.

For personal reasons, she announced in December 2019 that she would give up the office of district councilor prematurely. At the end of January 31, 2020, she finally resigned from the district office. He was succeeded on February 19, 2020 by the CDU District Councilor Matthias Steuckardt.

Jutta Kaddatz has been honorary chairwoman of the CDU local association Lichtenrade since February 25, 2020 .

Private

Jutta Kaddatz has been married since 1975 and has a daughter and two grandchildren.
