Cabinet Tong II
The second Tong cabinet was formed by Anote Tong , President of the Republic of Kiribati , on October 23, 2007 and sworn in on the same day in Parliament, the ninth Maneaba ni Maungatabu .
After the presidential election in Kiribati in 2007 , following the parliamentary elections in Kiribati in 2007 , Anote Tong appointed eleven ministers, including seven of his first cabinet (2003 to 2007), but not among them the finance minister who stood against him, Nabuti Mwemwenikarawa .
Three ministers resigned between 2007 and 2011: James Taom ( Makin ), Tetabo Nakara ( Beru ) and Patrick Tatireta ( Marakei ).
On January 17, 2012, Anote Tong was able to form his third cabinet after re-election .
