The Kainsbach is a six kilometer long right and southeast tributary of the Gersprenz .

The Kainsbach rises at an altitude of 370 m above sea level. NHN in the Odenwald on the northern slope of the Morsberg ( 516.7 m above sea level ) and south of the Reichelsheim district of Ober-Kainsbach near the Spreng .
It flows north-north-west and passes the village of Ober-Kainsbach where a second spring branch reinforces it on the left. A little north of it, it is fed by the Wünschbach on its right side .
