Stierbach , a hamlet , now forms a joint district with Nieder-Kainsbach in the municipality of Brensbach in the Odenwaldkreis in southern Hesse .

But it was and is part of the Affhöllerbach district . On the occasion of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Affhöllerbach with the hamlets of Kilsbach and Stierbach belonging to it was incorporated into Nieder-Kainsbach on February 1, 1971 on a voluntary basis . Within Nieder-Kainsbach, it was incorporated into the municipality of Brensbach by law on August 1, 1972. The hamlet of Stierbach was integrated into the Nieder-Kainsbach district.
The existence of the hamlet is documented under the spelling Stirbach since 1454.
Geographical location
Stierbach is only 250 meters southeast of Nieder-Kainsbach at the confluence of the Stierbach in the Kainsbach , a tributary of the Gersprenz , at the foot of Schnellert Castle , the sparse remains of which crown a wooded 350-meter high hilltop southeast of the village.
Economy and Infrastructure
Stierbach is on the state road L 3260, which branches off the federal road 38 at Nieder-Kainsbach and, following the Kainsbach in a south-easterly direction, crosses the federal road 47 on the watershed to the Mümling and continues south through the Mossau valley.
The largest local employer is Spalt , a supplier of funeral supplies .
