history

After the division of the Duchy of Schweidnitz in 1321, Ober Kunzendorf was part of the Duchy of Münsterberg . Because of the large debt burden, the duchy was mortgaged in 1542. The region suffered great damage during the Thirty Years' War . After the First Silesian War , all of Lower Silesia fell to Prussia in 1742 . The Duchy of Münsterberg was converted into a civil status, which was acquired in 1791 by the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm II .

From 1818 to 1945 Ober Kunzendorf was in the district of Schweidnitz , which belonged to the administrative district of Breslau . In February 1874, the district of Kunzendorf was formed with the rural communities of Ober and Nieder Kunzendorf.

As a result of the Lower Silesian operation in the spring of 1945, Ober Kunzendorf was captured by the Red Army and placed under the Soviet command. After the end of the war the village became part of Poland and has been called Kalinowice Górne ever since . From 1975 to 1998 it was in the Wałbrzych Voivodeship , then in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship .
