location
Kangaarsuk is located on a small peninsula of the same name at the exit of the Tasiusarsuaq . 15 km to the north is the nearest town Qeqertarsuatsiaat .
history
Kangaarsuk was first mentioned in 1855 when 35 people lived there. In 1877, Hinrich Johannes Rink mentioned the place to live in connection with the fact that the most miserable population of Greenland lived there and in the vicinity, the number of which had halved in the last 30 years. The place was probably still inhabited around 1900, but abandoned a short time later.
