Career

societies

Ansarifard began his career in his hometown Ardabil with the local club Zob Ahan Ardabil. During a training camp for the Iranian first division club Saipa Tehran , he was discovered by the then coach Ali Daei and engaged after a trial training session. After consistently strong performances, Ansarifard was considered a promising talent and played himself in the focus of European clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and Steaua Bucharest . Nevertheless, he remained loyal to the club and was the top scorer in the Iranian first division in the 2011/2012 season with 21 goals.

In the following season, Ansarifard moved to local rivals Persepolis Tehran . There he was able to score in several league and cup games, including two hat tricks. However, he fell out with the trainer, his discoverer Ali Daei, which is why he was loaned to Tractor Sazi Tabriz for the 2013/14 season. There he developed into an integral part of the team and won the Hazfi Cup 2013/14 with his team . However, the club could not firmly commit him, as his contract contained a clause that allowed him to leave the club in the event of an offer by a European club. This happened and so Ansarifard moved to CA Osasuna in the Spanish Segunda División in summer 2014 . There he made his debut in the 2-0 defeat by Racing Santander on October 4, 2014. The following year he moved to Greece to Panionios Athens without scoring a goal for Osasuna . There he scored his first goal for the new employer in the 5-1 away win against Panetolikos on October 3, 2015 in the 83rd minute of the game. In January 2017 Ansarifard moved to the Greek champions Olympiacos Piraeus . The transfer fee is said to have been 400,000 euros. Despite 18 goals in 34 league games and four more goals in the Cup and Europa League, Ansarifard left Piraeus in the summer of 2018 and was without a club until November 2018, having become Greek champions with Piraeus in 2017. Then he joined the English second division Nottingham Forest . However, he could not prevail there and came in twelve, mostly short missions only two hits. In the summer of 2019, he switched to al-Sailiya in Qatar .

National team

Ansarifard was first invited to the Iranian U-17 national team in 2005 . At the U-17 Asian Cup in 2006, in which Iran failed in the quarter-finals against eventual title winners Japan , he was in his country's squad. After playing for the U-21 and U-23 of Iran Ansarifard made his debut on October 10, 2009 in the game against Iceland , when he came on in the 40th minute for Farhad Majidi . In the same game, Ansarifard also scored his first international goal in the 59th minute to make it 1-0. With his goal against North Korea in the 2011 Asian Cup , he became the youngest scorer of an Iranian selection at the Asian Cup.

Ansarifard part in the 2014 FIFA World Cup to the squad of Iran . He played his first and only game against Bosnia-Herzegovina when he came on for Ashkan Dejagah in the 68th minute , but was eliminated with Iran as the last in Group F. At the 2015 Asian Cup , in which Iran failed in the quarter-finals against Iraq , Ansarifard was in the squad without any effort.

In 2018 he was again part of the Iranian squad at the 2018 World Cup . After being in the starting line-up in the first two group matches against Morocco and Spain , he was substituted on in the 76th minute of the last group match, the 1-1 draw against European champions Portugal , and converted a hand penalty into an equalizer in stoppage time. Despite this point and the victory against Morocco, the team failed as third in the group just under the last sixteen.
