Life

Leydecker studied German , art history and Protestant theology in Karlsruhe , Mainz and Heidelberg and received his doctorate in 1988.

Since the late 1970s, Leydecker published reviews as a freelance writer in the heavily male-dominated field. Her texts appeared in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , in the FAZ , the Deutsches Architektenblatt , the Deutsche Bauzeitung and in the culture chronicles of the Inter Nationes .

She designed exhibitions and catalogs, wrote monographs and cultivated connections to artists such as Norbert Nüssle , the sculptor Vera Röhm and architects such as Heinz Mohl , whose work she accompanied for years.

In 2005, together with Enrico Santifaller, she published an architecture guide that described 60 years of building history in Rhineland-Palatinate .
