Karin Rabhansl grew up in the village of Trautmannsdorf near Passau . She started playing the guitar at the age of eight. From 2006 to 2009 she attended the vocational school for music in Dinkelsbühl .

In 2011 her first CD Mogst schmusn, mia wad's wurscht was released , which was recorded in Berlin , Nuremberg and Passau .

In spring 2011 Karin Rabhansl toured Germany as a support act for Mathias Kellner . In the same year, the singer founded the Karin Rabhansl Band in order not to be alone in the future.

Concerts and festival appearances in German-speaking countries followed, including with LaBrassBanda , Stefan Dettl , Wolfgang Ambros , HMBC , Großstadtgeflüster , Ja, Panik , Heino , Agnostic Front , Schmidbauer / Kälberer , Weisswurscht is and Keller Steff .

In 2013 the second CD Singa was released , on which (except for the title track) her band can be heard for the first time.

The third studio album Anna followed in 2015 , on which Rabhansl can be heard alternately solo, with her band and with guests. Among other things, there is a purely electronic number on the record with Berlin for the first time (featuring Peter Wölpl and Oli Rubow ). Further collaborations on Anna are the piano ballad Last Chance (with Martin Kälberer ) and a new recording of Mogst schmusn, mia wad's don't care as a duet with Stefan Dettl . Stylistically still pop, the influences in the songs range from classic songwriting to blues and punk.

In December 2016, the online single A Woch 'was released before Christmas . In the accompanying music video, Matthias Egersdörfer and the theater play Zwangsvorstellung . The online blog ear eye am writes:

The clip reenacts what happened to Rabhansl before, during or after one of her countless appearances in inns and pubs in her home region. (...) The nice thing about the clip is that, despite all the teasing, it does not demonstrate the rural setting or look down at it from above. Rabhansl believes himself to be part of the pub universe that unfolds here in front of the camera and alternates between madness and down-to-earth attitude. "

In autumn 2018 the fourth studio album Tod & Teufel was released , which is musically heavier and lyrically darker than earlier works. The 13 songs deal with alcoholism, guilt, loneliness and old age, lycanthropy and will-o'-the-wisps, stalkers, organ trafficking as well as death and the devil.
