Martin Kälberer (born August 7, 1967 in Ulm ) is a German musician .

music

Martin Kälberer received guitar and mandolin lessons from his mother at the Eichenau Music School from 1972 and piano lessons from 1973. 1985/1986 he studied piano at the jazz department of the Graz University of Music . 1987/1988 he did community service. He has been a freelance musician since 1989. Since 1993 he has appeared together with Werner Schmidbauer as Schmidbauer & Kälberer . In 2012 the album Süd was released , which Kälberer designed with Werner Schmidbauer and Pippo Pollina ; In 2013 the three went on tour. The collaboration with Schmidbauer was suspended from 2016 to 2018. In autumn 2018, Kälberer, Schmidbauer and Pollina began work on the album Süd II , which was presented on a tour in 2019.

Kälberer has also been giving solo concerts since 2003, and since 2007 he has been accompanying Willy Astor's Sound of Islands project .

Since 2006 Martin Kälberer can be seen with Werner Schmidbauer on Bavarian television with the new program format Aufgspuit - Werner Schmidbauer with… . In this series, musicians are invited to the Munich Lustspielhaus to make music together live. Martin Kälberer acts as a musical link.
