Werner Schmidbauer (born August 24, 1961 in Munich ) is a German television presenter , musician and songwriter .
Live and act
Werner Schmidbauer has been on tour as a singer-songwriter since the late 1970s; first with Valery McCleary and Ecco Meineke as a Trio Folksfest , later also with his band SchmidbauerS . Since 1993 he has appeared together with Martin Kälberer as Schmidbauer & Kälberer .
Werner Schmidbauer mainly works on television for Bavarian Radio . He presented the program Live from Alabama a total of 460 times . He then succeeded Fritz Egner in the children's series Dingsda (1994–1999). In 1996 he also hosted the 12-part dating show Greenies in the First.
Own talk shows on BR followed: first Schmidbauers and in the meantime he alternated the show Unter 4 Augen . Since 2003 he has been the presenter of the summit meeting series on Bavarian television , in which Schmidbauer goes on a mountain hike with a conversation partner.
Since 2006 Werner Schmidbauer can also be seen on Bavarian television with the program format Aufgspuit - Werner Schmidbauer with… . In this series, he invites fellow musicians to the Munich Lustspielhaus to play music together live. Martin Kälberer acts as a musical link. His first guest on July 7, 2006 was Hans-Jürgen Buchner (known as Haindling ), other guests included Wolfgang Ambros , Willy Astor and Wolfgang Niedecken .
In 2019 he appeared at Lieder auf Banz with Wolfgang Niedecken and Pippo Pollina .
Private
Schmidbauer is married for the second time, has three children and lives in Bad Aibling near Rosenheim .
