Karl-Heinz Rüsch

Karl-Heinz Rüsch (born June 2, 1908 in Dortmund ; † May 26, 1986 in Bad Zwischenahn ) was a German electrical engineer and politician.

Life

education

Karl-Heinz Rüsch, son of a businessman, attended the municipal Bismarck secondary school in Dortmund. He then studied electrical engineering from 1926 to 1929 at the TH Karlsruhe (up to the pre-exam), where he became a member of the Teutonia fraternity in 1926/27 . From 1929 to 1931 he studied at the TH Munich and from 1931 to 1933 at the TH Danzig . There he obtained his diploma in March 1933 and then worked as an assistant .

National Socialism

Rüsch was a member of the SA from September to December 1930 and joined the SS in January 1931 (No. 8344). On February 20, 1932 he became SS troop leader and on June 12, 1933 SS storm leader and adjutant to Section VII.

From February 13, 1934 he was full-time in the service of the SS and was transferred to Munich as an adjutant to the head of the SS office at the staff of the Reichsführer-SS . There on April 19, 1934, transferred as adjutant to the head of the management department. On April 20, 1934, he became SS-Obersturmführer and on October 21, 1935, leader of Sturmbann II of the 30th SS standard . On January 30, 1936, Rüsch became SS-Hauptsturmführer and on April 20, 1937 SS-Sturmbannführer .

On May 1, 1937, Rüsch was entrusted with the management of the 46th SS standard in Dresden and on December 1, 1938 with the management of the 103rd SS standard in Aussig . On July 1, 1939, Rüsch was appointed staff leader in SS Section XXXVII in Reichenberg . On May 15, 1941 he became a part-time leader of the staff of SS Section XXXX and resigned from his employment with the SS.

Rüsch was a holder of the SA and Reich sport badges as well as the bronze equestrian badge. He was the bearer of the SS skull ring and a member of the Lebensborn association .

In 1941 and 1942 Rüsch was district leader of the NSDAP in Schwetz . May 1941 initially provisional and May 28, 1942 finally as district administrator of the Schwetz district .

Rüsch did his military service from November 1934 to 1935 in the Reichswehr . On June 1, 1938, he became a lieutenant in the reserve . In 1939 he was served in a tank destroyer unit on the Siegfried Line , then involved in the French campaign, and then transferred to Silesia .

On January 11, 1941, Rüsch was placed as a first lieutenant in the reserve until September 11, 1944 UK because of his district leader and district administrator function. On September 12, 1944, Rüsch was drafted into the Wehrmacht for use on the Eastern Front. In the end he fought in the pocket near Danzig , where he received the EK II . In May 1945 he fled the boiler to Denmark .

post war period

In Denmark, Rüsch was taken prisoner by the British until autumn 1945. He was interned in the Neuengamme camp until October 1947 . From February 1948 to March 1955 he worked in mining at the Erin colliery due to a lack of denazification .

On June 16, 1948, the first denazification and classification in category III followed with the remark that he was allowed to work as an engineer again, but without promotion. On June 23, 1950, Rüsch was classified in category IV with the prohibition of two years in the public or semi-public service and of holding political or professional honorary posts.

A job as an engineer was not immediately possible due to the loss of the diploma due to the war. Only after the TH Hannover certified the diploma examination taken in 1933 on June 16, 1952, Rüsch succeeded in starting as a colliery electrical engineer on the Germania mine of Bergbau AG Dortmund .

In July 1955, Rüsch was promoted to Obersteiger and from June 1958 he was the operator for the underground electrical systems of the Germania colliery. He was later appointed as a works expert for the systems at the Zollern and Germania collieries by the State Mining Authority .

In January 1959, Rüsch became chief engineer. June 1970 the expansion of the works expert activity to the Zeche Hansa . From August 1971 he also became an operator and works expert until his retirement in July 1973.

Rüsch was involved in the Association of Oberer Bergbaubeamter eV and was President of the German Executive Association in 1964/65 .
