Karl Egon IV. Prince of Fürstenberg (full name: Karl Egon IV. Maria Friedrich Emil Kaspar Heinrich Wilhelm Kamill Max Ludwig Viktor , born August 25, 1852 in Kruschowitz , † November 27, 1896 in Grossan Castle near Nice ) was a registrar and member of the German Reichstag .

Karl Egon was the son of Karl Egon III. - the first lord of the Grand Duchy of Baden - and Princess Elisabeth Henriette Reuss elder line (1824–1861) born. His mother died in 1861. With the death of his father, the Hereditary Prince became Prince of Fürstenberg on March 15, 1892. In 1893 Emperor Wilhelm II appointed him major and in 1896 colonel marshal. Since the Swabian property passed to him after the death of his father, he became a member of the Prussian manor house , the Württemberg Chamber of Classes and the Baden First Chamber. On November 10, 1893, Prince Karl Egon was elected to the German Reichstag with a significant majority in the second Reichstag constituency of Baden. Already suffering badly at that time, he could no longer recover and died in Nice, where he sought recovery. On December 4, 1896, he was buried in the princely family crypt in Neudingen near Donaueschingen as one of the last family members of the Princely House.

He was involved in the Münchner Allgemeine Zeitung and one of the founders of the Berlin-Karlshorst colony , where Karl-Egon-Strasse is still named after him today. He was a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg .

Prince Karl Egon married Countess Dorothea "Dolly" von Talleyrand-Périgord (1862-1948), daughter of Duke Napoleon-Ludwig von Sagan and great-great-niece of Talleyrand , on July 6, 1881 . The marriage remained childless. His wife played an important role in the Wilhelminian and Wilhelminian "high society".
