Krušovice (German Kruschowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers northeast of Rakovník and belongs to the Okres Rakovník .

Krušovice is located 379 m above sea level. M. The community area is 636 ha.
The European route 48 between Lubenec and Nové Strašecí runs through the village in the valley of Krušovický potok . In the southeast lies the 537 m high local mountain Louštín (Lauernstein), the highest mountain of the Džbán (Krugwald) in the north of the Brdywald .
history
The place Krušovice probably originated around the year 1000. It was first mentioned in a document under Přemysl Ottokar II in the second half of the 13th century during a feudal grant.
The village is best known for the Krušovice Royal Brewery , which was first mentioned in 1581 in connection with an offer that its owner Jiří Bírka von Násile made to Emperor Rudolf II .
The other owners were the Waldsteiners , during whose times the baroque castle was built. In 1733 Krušovice went to the Fürstenberg Princely House by marriage .
