history

Karlsdorf was established in 1828 in the Kouřimetz forest district of the Pürglitzer Forest by the owner of the Pürglitz estate, Karl Egon II zu Fürstenberg, on the U Buku square as a logging and charcoal burner settlement to supply the Rostok ironworks with charcoal. The new settlement consisted of a princely brick factory and below this a street village of 26 houses that were built on both sides of a street. The settlers came from the nearby stately villages of Nezabudice, Žloukovice and Všetaty . Some of the residents worked as day laborers at the nearby Meierhof Karlshof.

In 1843, Karlsdorf or U Buku , also known as Trubočowa and Bei der Buche , consisted of 26 houses with 188 inhabitants. There was a forest keeper's house and a brick factory in the village. The parish was in Nezabuditz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Karlsdorf remained subject to Fideikommiss Pürglitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Karloves or U Buku / Karlsdorf 1850 a district of the municipality Broumy in District Rakonitz and judicial district Křivoklát . After the death of Karl Egon II zu Fürstenberg in 1854, his second-born son Max Egon I inherited the Fideikommiss Pürglitz. At the beginning of the 20th century, Karloves , Karlov and Karlsdorf were used as official place names. After 1910, Karloves broke away from Broumy and formed its own community. The current place name Karlova Ves was introduced in 1924, but hardly accepted by the population. In 1932 there were 198 people in Karlova Ves. On January 1, 1980, the village was incorporated into Křivoklát . On November 24, 1990 Karlova Ves broke away from Křivoklát and formed its own community.

Karlova Ves consists of 65 houses and 21 holiday cottages, 15 of which are on the Týřov cadastre. The village is called Karloves by the locals .
