Malinová (German Beerenheid ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southwest of Rakovník in the Rakonitz Hills and belongs to the Okres Rakovník .
geography
The village is located in the headwaters of the Malinovský potok. To the south lies the Polský rybník pond.
Neighboring towns are Příčina in the north, Žďáry in the northeast, Hvozd in the east, Panoší Újezd in the southeast, Nová Ves, Rousínov and Zhoř in the south, Krakov in the southwest and Zavidov and Petrovice in the northwest.
history
The first documentary mention of the village comes from 1585. In 1850 212 people lived in the village and in 1869 there were 231 in 34 houses. A population decline began at the end of the 19th century. The residents lived from agriculture.
In 1930 Malinová had only 182 inhabitants, and in the second half of the 20th century the number of inhabitants halved due to the rural exodus. In 1932 a memorial for those who died in the First World War was inaugurated. In 1980 the village was incorporated into Panoší Újezd, and since 1990 it has been independent again.
Today Malinová consists of 38 houses.
