Ruda is a municipality with 701 inhabitants (2006) in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers southwest of Nové Strašecí and belongs to the Okres Rakovník . The municipality extends over an area of 2167 hectares.
geography
Ruda is located at 425 m above sea level. M. to the right of the Klíčava river on the edge of the Pürglitzer forest , which surrounds the village in the west and south. State road 237 runs through Ruda between Rakovník and Nové Strašecí . To the north, Ruda is affected by the railway line from Lužná to Kladno , but has no train station. In the east, the heaps of the mining landscape of the Kladno coalfield join. In the wooded area south of the village near Brejl on the Klíčava and along the road II / 236, there are remains of the Prague – Lana horse-drawn tram and the one- shift Amálie with the Czech President's hunting lodge.
Neighboring towns are Třtice in the north, Nové Strašecí in the northeast, Pecínov and Rynholec in the east, Brejl in the south, Amálie in the southwest, Lužná in the west and U Nádraží in the northwest.
