Karl Friedrich (born May 7, 1929 in Graz ) is an Austrian actor and theater director .

Life

He attended secondary school and drama school in his hometown of Graz. From 1950 to 1957 he was a member of the ensemble of the United Theaters Graz.

In 1957 he moved to the city ​​of Cologne . Roles here were Muley Hassan in Fiesco's Conspiracy in Genoa , Bärli in Musils Vinzenz and the girlfriend of important men and Cosme in Calderón's Lady Kobold .

From 1959 to 1962 he worked at the National Theater Mannheim , where he played Selicour in Friedrich Schiller's Der Parasit . From 1962 to 1966 he worked at the Darmstadt State Theater . Here he took over the title role in Woyzeck in 1964 .

From 1966 to 1972 he was engaged at the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt am Main . Here he played alongside Joseph Offenbach in The Miser and The Robbery of the Sabine Women .
